Zero Waste Training Session for Cafeteria Staff
A zero-waste training session for cafeteria staff was conducted by Prof. Dr. Nilgün AYMAN ÖZ, the Coordinator of our University’s Sustainability Office. The training aimed to raise sustainability awareness, improve waste management processes in cafeterias, and reduce environmental impacts on campus.
The training covered proper separation of waste into organic, recyclable, and oil waste categories; compacting waste before disposal into containers; measures to prevent food waste; weighing and recording generated waste; and initiatives to promote zero-waste awareness. Additionally, feedback was collected from the staff regarding issues related to waste management in the cafeterias.
